Homemade Dill Pickles



Simple and tasty dill pickles are a great addition to any sandwich!

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 ½ cups water

  • 1 ¼ cups white vinegar

  • 1 Tbs sugar

  • 1 Tbs sea salt

  • 1 bag of pickling cucumbers (about a dozen cucumbers)

  • 3 cloves garlic, whole

  • 1/2 of a medium white onion, sliced

  • 2 heads fresh dill


DIRECTIONS:

  • In a small saucepan combine water, vinegar, sugar, and sea salt together over high heat. Bring to a boil and then remove from the heat and cool completely.

  • Cut the cucumbers into coins or spears (whichever you prefer)

  • Combine cut cucumber, garlic cloves, sliced onion, and fresh dill in a large glass jar or container.

  • Pour cooled vinegar mixture over cucumber mixture. Seal container tight with the lid and refrigerate overnight before enjoying!
